Nigerian Man Arrested For Drug Peddling In India For The 3rd Time In One Year

A Nigerian living in Hyderabad, who had been caught with narcotic drug twice in the past two years, was held again, yesterday, on a similar charge.

This time, 20 grams of cocaine was seized from Ugochukwu Chukwuebuka aka Godpower. He went to India in August 2016 on a business visa. He was arrested the same year on the charge of possessing narcotic substances.
He came out on bail but continued to procure and sell narcotic drugs. Subsequently, a few months ago, he was arrested by Banjara Hills police for peddling cocaine. Godpower secured bail once again and returned to the business of drug peddling.
“This year, he was caught again in August possessing drugs,” Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force DCP B. Limba Reddy said. Keeping in view of his repeated drug peddling activity police are planning to initiate proceedings against him under the Preventive Detention Act.
