Runsewe, VODI, Kevin Pam advocates for made in Nigeria designs

A fashion show tagged fashion rebirth has been organised to celebrate made in Nigeria goods.  

The event will feature Nigerian designers who already converged to display their designs on the runway while other top designers and government agency representatives will be speaking at the event to sensitize and mentor the designers.

Patron of the show, Otunba Segun Runsewe, DG, Nigeria council of arts and culture urges Nigerians to patronize locally made products, 

"we are encouraging Nigerians to come together to buy locally made goods, this will help the economy grow, I am in support of this show because of its originality and the message it conveys." 

Organiser of the event and creative director of VZ creations, Vivian Zadok, said her intention is to showcase made in Nigeria goods, to mentor upcoming designers and encourage shop owners to stock their shops with apparels made with local fabrics. 

"There will be business clinic, exhibition for designers and participants, also we are passing across our message to shop owners to endeavour to stock their respective stores with apparels made by Nigerian designers," she said.

Matron of the event is the APC Women leader in FCT, Mrs Hailmary Aipoh, while Kevin Pam of Big brother Africa is the brand ambassador.

The event is supported by Bank of Industry, SMEDAN, and other partners, scheduled to take place at the national press centre, Area 10, Garki, Abuja on September 15, 2017
