Ajimobi, insideoyo.com gathered, gave his blessings to the aspiration of his ‘loyal deputy’, promising to give necessary support.
Sources who are close to the Oorelope-born politician told insideoyo.com that “it was not that he was forced to join the race, he joined after consulting exhaustively ‎with major stakeholders, especially from Oke-ogun zone where he hails.”
For many years, the people of the 10 Okeogun local government areas have been agitating for their man to govern the state.
With Adeyemo’s entrance into the race, the number of aspirants from the region has increased to five. Communications minister, Adebayo Shittu, Engr. Remi Olaniyan, Mr. Debo Adesina and Prof. Adeolu Akande, all of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, have earlier signified intention for the coveted seat.

Though unconfirmed, sources said it was the Okeogun Development Consultative Forum‎, ODCF, the apex group for sons and daughters of the region, that is behind the aspiration.
Meanwhile, Adeyemo would any moment from now set us his campaign team to meet with party leaders, major stakeholders in the society and other relevant groups so as to draw support for his ambition.‎
